A new feature of the Bosch IoT Hub allows you to connect devices via multiple gateways. The so-called gateway mode is applicable in different cases: when the actual devices are using non-IP based protocols (e.g. Bluetooth®, ZigBee or Z-Wave), low-bandwidth radio-based technology (e.g. LoRa) or proprietary protocols.
To give an example: an eBike may be connected via Bluetooth with different smartphones acting as a gateway. Please refer to the Gateway Mode Concept for details.
